Cameron is a composer based in North-Wales and his music draws significantly from the natural landscapes, aspects of momentum, as well as conveying his own Welsh heritage and folklore through music. His has been able to explore these ideas with some of the leading ensembles and musicians, where the most notable include: Psappha Ensemble, Riot Ensemble, BBC National Orchestra of Wales and Mahan Esfahani. This has led to his music being premiered across the UK at the Cheltenham, Three Choirs and Spitalfields music festival, where he has enjoyed commissions and repeat performances of his work. Through working with these festivals, Cameron has been commissioned by NEW Sinfonia, Norfolk and Norwich Festival, and most recently, Huw Watkins and Ruby Hughes. Outside of his professional composition work, Cameron is an associate for the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and has regular freelance work with Welsh National Opera
